This watercolor painting on paper, stretched over canvas is an image inspired by the rising and falling water that pools at Monte Vista Avenue and the 210 Freeway, at the border of Claremont and Upland. This area represents how building developers have changed the natural water run-off pathways and infiltration of water sinking into natural water tables underground by paving over large amounts of natural land at the foot of Mt. Baldy and local areas.
